Three Areas Including Commercialization, Advancement, and Demonstration Packages
Daejeon Technopark announced on the 18th that it will be recruiting companies to participate in the Daejeon Defense Innovation Cluster's Defense and Drone Upstream and Downstream Technology Commercialization Support Project from the 24th to the 28th.
The project will support 16 companies with a total budget of 1.724 billion KRW to promote the innovative growth of defense and drone companies. The support areas are divided into three categories: ▲Commercialization Package ▲Advancement Package ▲Demonstration Package.
The Commercialization Package will select six companies and provide support with a budget of 588 million KRW for business model development, prototype production, domestic and international certification, and testing equipment usage fees.
The Advancement Package will provide a budget of 686 million KRW to seven companies. Supported areas include patent analysis, intellectual property creation, product advancement, and domestic and international certification and testing equipment usage fees.
The Demonstration Package will offer a budget of 450 million KRW to support testbeds, domestic and international certification, and testing equipment usage fees. Three companies will be selected, with each company eligible for up to 150 million KRW in support.
Eligible applicants are small and medium-sized enterprises in the Daejeon region engaged in the defense and drone upstream and downstream sectors. Companies seeking to newly enter these industries may also apply.
Kim Wooyeon, President of Daejeon TP, said, "The companies that participated in last year's support project saw a 10% increase in sales compared to the previous year and attracted 23.8 billion KRW in investment. We will continue to discover and support necessary projects so that Daejeon defense and drone companies can remain competitive in the defense industry market."
