Jeollanam-do is conducting a demand survey for the 2026 Fruit Production and Distribution Support Project to strengthen the competitiveness of the fruit industry, including high-quality fruit production and disaster prevention.
The projects subject to the demand survey include: ▲ Modernization of high-quality fruit production facilities ▲ Establishment of specialized fruit production complexes ▲ Construction of fruit distribution centers at key production sites ▲ Modernization of distribution facilities ▲ Development of fruit brands ▲ Expansion of smart farms ▲ Creation of artificial pollination pollen production complexes, for a total of seven projects.
Among these, the modernization of high-quality fruit production facilities is in highest demand. Eligible applicants are management entities participating in the integrated production and distribution organization under the horticultural industry development plan, or those with a record of participation in the local food plan. The support standard is 50% subsidy and 50% self-funding.
Fruit farmers wishing to participate in the 2026 project must apply to their local eup, myeon, or dong office by the 24th.
Yoo Deokgyu, head of the Food and Horticulture Division of Jeollanam-do, said, "Recently, fruit crop damage from cold weather disasters has become more frequent, making the expansion of disaster prevention facilities urgent. We hope for the interest of many farmers in responding to climate change," and added, "Through the Fruit Production and Distribution Support Project, we will establish a foundation for high-quality fruit production and actively help local farmers in Jeollanam-do secure competitiveness in the fruit industry."
