Nonsan City in Chungnam Province announced on the 17th that 430,000 visitors attended the '2025 Nonsan City Agro-Food Overseas Expo' held in Jakarta, Indonesia from the 13th to the 16th, resulting in the sale of 18 tons of Nonsan strawberries.

In addition, the city signed an export agreement worth 35.2 billion KRW with local distributors, raising the awareness and market share of agricultural products from the Nonsan region in Indonesia.

Furthermore, Nonsan City established friendly relations with leading local distributors and companies in Indonesia and actively promoted the '2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo'.

In addition, Nonsan's fresh agricultural products such as pears and grapes, as well as processed foods like sesame oil, perilla oil, and salted seafood, attracted the attention of visitors.

Through this expo, the city has laid the foundation for the international approval and successful hosting of the '2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo' that Nonsan City is pursuing.

Mayor Baek Seonghyeon said, "I hope this overseas agro-food expo was an opportunity for Indonesian people to fall in love with the charm of Nonsan strawberries," and added, "We will do our best to promote the excellence and open new markets for our agricultural products not only in Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia but also around the world."

He continued, "Nonsan strawberries have now become a representative national fruit of Korea, gaining strong competitiveness in the global market and captivating the tastes of people worldwide.
