Kyungbok University to Host AI Hackathon on 17th... 'Maximizing AI Technical Capabilities of Members'

Gyeongbok University held an Artificial Intelligence (AI) hackathon competition on the 17th.


The Innovation Support Group of Gyeongbok University announced that on this day, at the Jiwoon Building on the Namyangju Campus, they held an AI hackathon competition aimed at enhancing the efficiency of administrative tasks using AI technology, improving the student counseling and guidance system, and exploring ways to maximize the AI technical capabilities of its members.


The winning team was the "Arasseol Team," which received high scores in productivity improvement, data automation, and process enhancement. The team consisted of Professor Park Juhyun from the Department of Service Management, Professor An Jia from the Department of Video Media Content and Director of the Public Relations Center, Kim Gawon from the Public Relations Center, and Assistant Jo Ara.

Through this AI hackathon competition, Gyeongbok University plans to bring about practical changes in the university’s administrative and educational systems and foster the development of both the school and its members by discovering innovative ideas utilizing AI technology. Additional AI hackathon competitions will be held several more times in the future.


Meanwhile, Gyeongbok University is currently conducting a Generative AI Art contest from February 17 to 28. The contest aims to increase AI accessibility and efficiency by submitting images or videos created using generative AI.
