On the 17th, Won Bin visited Kim Sae-ron's funeral hall set up at Seoul Asan Medical Center in Songpa-gu, Seoul. With a somber expression, Won Bin offered his condolences at the funeral hall. Eden9, the agency representing Won Bin and his wife, actress Lee Na-young, also sent a condolence wreath in the couple's names.
Won Bin and Kim Sae-ron worked together in the 2010 film The Man from Nowhere. Won Bin played Tae-sik, a former special agent who comes out into the world to save his neighbor's kidnapped little girl, Somi. Kim Sae-ron portrayed Somi. The film, rated for audiences 18 and older, unusually attracted over 6 million viewers, and Kim Sae-ron received attention for her impressive performance at the time.
On this day, actors Han So-hee, Kim Bo-ra, and AKMU members Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun also came to pay their respects. Additionally, singer IU, Cha Eun-woo, and actors Seo Ye-ji, Ma Dong-seok, and Gong Myung sent condolence wreaths to mourn the deceased.
Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, the day before. She was 25 years old. The news of her passing at such a young age has sparked a wave of tributes from fellow entertainers.
On the 17th, actress Kim Ok-bin posted a photo of chrysanthemums on her social media with the message, "I sincerely pray for the repose of the deceased." Kim Min-che, who appeared with Kim Sae-ron in the film Neighborhood People, wrote on social media, "I was so happy to meet you as a daughter in the movie," adding, "Rest peacefully there." Actress Yoo Ah-ra, formerly of the group Hello Venus, expressed her condolences on social media, saying, "I am sorry and thankful, and I will remember and pray for you who shone so brightly."
Meanwhile, Kim Sae-ron's funeral hall is set up in Room 7 at Seoul Asan Medical Center in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The funeral procession is scheduled for 6:20 a.m. on the 19th. The funeral ceremony will be held privately according to the family's wishes.
