Dongmyung University signed a business agreement on the 14th with the Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association and the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Federation of the Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association to successfully promote the Regional Innovation-Centered University Support System (RISE). On the same day, a scholarship ceremony with Maeil Marine Co., Ltd. was also held.
The agreement includes ▲ nurturing practical talents tailored to the demand based on local industries ▲ hiring excellent talents who settle in the region ▲ practical education such as degree programs for employees of local small and medium-sized enterprises ▲ support for solving technical difficulties of SMEs and research cooperation. Each organization agreed to strengthen win-win cooperation through the successful implementation of the Regional Innovation-Centered University Support System (RISE) and industry-academia cooperation.
The representative of the Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association and Maeil Marine, Kim Myung-jin, donated a scholarship of 10 million KRW to the Department of Game Studies (Game Engineering, Game Graphics) at Dongmyung University.
Chairman Kim Myung-jin stated, “To successfully promote RISE, universities and local companies must nurture talents based on local industries and contribute to regional development through local settlement,” adding, “We will contribute to the development of local industries through continuous cooperation with Dongmyung University.”
President Jeon Ho-hwan said, “I deeply appreciate the Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association and Chairman Kim Myung-jin, the representative of Maeil Marine, for understanding Dongmyung University’s Do-ing education well and donating scholarships,” and added, “We will establish a solid Regional Innovation-Centered University Support System through mutual cooperation in the future.”
