Targeting Five Cities and Counties Including Boryeong, Seosan, Nonsan, Cheongyang, and Taean
Chungnam Province announced on the 17th that it has selected the "Chungnam One-Month Stay Tourism Support Project" as a pilot project this year and will officially implement it in five cities and counties.
The One-Month Stay Tourism Support Project, introduced for the first time this year, will provide support for accommodation and other expenses in five cities and counties ? Boryeong, Seosan, Nonsan, Cheongyang, and Taean ? by investing 100 million won from provincial and local budgets from this month until December.
The program is open to individuals aged 19 or older who reside outside the province and wish to travel in the designated areas for at least seven days. Support includes accommodation costs (50,000 won per night), incidental expenses (20,000 won per day), activity experience fees (up to 150,000 won per person), and insurance fees (20,000 won per person).
Participants can engage in various experiential activities and local festivals while traveling in Chungnam, and are required to complete tasks such as writing travel reviews.
The province plans to closely analyze the outcomes of the project by the end of the year and address any shortcomings to ensure that this initiative, aligned with the Year of Visiting Chungnam, becomes a central project for revitalizing tourist attraction efforts.
A provincial official stated, "Through the Chungnam One-Month Stay Tourism Support Project, we aim to attract more long-term tourists and extend their stay, thereby revitalizing the local economy," adding, "We will do our utmost to maximize the project's results so that visitors can fully experience and enjoy the unique charms of each region."
