Chungnam Province Signs Special Financial Support Agreement for SMEs and Small Business Owners
Governor Kim Tae-heum: "Vitalizing the Local Economy by Easing Financial Burdens"
Chungnam Governor Kim Tae-heum stated on the 17th, "The economy of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners must thrive for the Chungnam economy to gain vitality."
Governor Kim made these remarks at the 'Special Financial Support Agreement Ceremony for SMEs and Small Business Owners' held in the provincial government situation room with NH Nonghyup Bank Chungnam Headquarters and the Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation. He said, "In the 8th popularly elected administration, we will provide a record-breaking 600 billion KRW in financial support to SMEs and small business owners."
He added, "In a situation where domestic demand remains sluggish due to high inflation and political instability, the 4.7 billion KRW contributed by Nonghyup will enable the Credit Guarantee Foundation to provide guarantees totaling 70.9 billion KRW," emphasizing, "This will greatly help alleviate the debt burden and management difficulties of SMEs and small business owners."
Governor Kim also expressed expectations for a special contribution from Hana Bank.
Governor Kim stated, "I will call the chairman of Hana Bank directly and once again request cooperation," adding that the province will focus on supplying a record 1.2 trillion KRW in policy funds for SMEs and small business owners, providing an emergency injection of 57.5 billion KRW for micro-enterprises, and improving financial accessibility through the Himssen Chungnam Financial Support Center.
