Jeonnam Nonghyup Successfully Completes 'Livestock Environment Improvement Day' Campaign

NongHyup Jeonnam Headquarters (Director Lee Gwangil) and Jangheung Livestock Cooperative conducted a campaign on the 17th at an excellent livestock farm located in Gwansan-eup, Jangheung-gun, to create a clean livestock environment that is tidy and odor-free.

'Livestock Environment Improvement Day' is a voluntary campaign in which livestock farmers recognize the need to improve their barn environments and take continuous action to improve the negative image of the livestock industry.

On this day, about 10 employees from Jeonnam NongHyup and Jangheung Livestock Cooperative participated in cleaning the inside and outside of the barns, collecting waste, maintaining drainage systems to prevent disasters, and conducting disinfection to prevent livestock diseases.

Director Lee Gwangil stated, "To eliminate the negative perception of the livestock industry caused by barn odors, agricultural cooperatives are conducting livestock environment improvement campaigns every month," and added, "Starting in April, we plan to implement a windbreak forest project around barns to prevent the spread of odors."
