Appointed as Head of 'Entrue Consulting,' LG CNS's Consulting Specialist Organization
LG CNS has recruited an artificial intelligence (AI) consulting expert from a global consulting group and is taking the lead in the AX (AI Transformation) market. On the 17th, LG CNS announced that it had appointed Executive Director Min Se-hoon, a former partner at Bain & Company, as the head of its consulting specialist organization, 'Entrue Consulting.' 'Entrue Consulting' is an information technology (IT) consulting organization established by LG CNS in 1991, the first of its kind in the industry.
Executive Director Min graduated from Seoul National University Law School and earned an MBA from UC Berkeley in the United States. He is an AI consulting expert with 23 years of experience working at Bain & Company, Deloitte Consulting, Monitor Group, and others. He has handled AX consulting in industries such as automotive, telecommunications, distribution, and finance, and is also known to have established an AI data organization and grown it into a major business division.
In November 2023, LG CNS also recruited Senior Executive Director Jin Yo-han as head of the AI Center. Jin previously led data science at the U.S. mobile advertising platform company Tapjoy and oversaw digital business at SK Telecom and E-Mart.
LG CNS emphasized, "AI business for enterprises has limitations if it only possesses excellent technical skills," adding, "Consulting capabilities that propose customized services based on a deep understanding of each industry domain and sector must be supported."
LG CNS is focusing on generative AI business centered around the AI Center, which was launched last year. Recently, it created a new 'AI Cloud Business Division' by integrating the Cloud Business Division and the D&A (Data Analytics & AI) Business Division. With the recruitment of Executive Director Min, LG CNS is strengthening its capabilities in AI, cloud, and consulting through synergy.
LG CNS President Hyun Shin-kyun stated at a press conference in January that the company aims to establish itself as a "leading AX company."
LG CNS is also nurturing high-quality AI talent. Since the spring semester of last year, LG CNS has been operating the 'AI Data Science Department' with Korea University and, since the fall semester of last year, the 'Intelligent Data & Optimization Department' with Yonsei University. Selected freshmen receive full support for admission and tuition fees, as well as a certain amount of academic assistance for research activities. Students who graduate with degrees are guaranteed employment at LG CNS.
In August of last year, LG CNS established a customized talent development track in AI, big data, consulting, and mathematical optimization within the master's program of the Department of Industrial Engineering at Seoul National University. Graduates who earn degrees through this track are also guaranteed employment at LG CNS.
