Until the 28th...
For Residents of Pyeongchang-eup, Daehwa-myeon, and Jinbu-myeon
On the 17th, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Shim Jae-guk) announced that the Pyeongchang-gun Urban Regeneration Support Center is recruiting the ‘2025 Pyeongchang-gun Urban Regeneration Press Corps’ until the 28th.
The Pyeongchang-gun Urban Regeneration Press Corps began with the Jinbu-myeon Urban Regeneration Preliminary Project Village Press Corps in 2022, and in 2023, 8 members, and in 2024, 9 members have been active, documenting changes in the region.
The press corps covers urban regeneration projects and stories of people in the area, creating newsletters that capture these genuine stories, which are published semiannually every year.
The recruitment targets residents of three eup and myeon (Pyeongchang-eup, Daehwa-myeon, Jinbu-myeon) where urban regeneration (preliminary) projects are currently underway or completed in Pyeongchang-gun. Selected press corps members will begin full-scale reporting activities after an appointment ceremony in early March.
Lee Jeong-ui, head of the county urban department, said, “The urban regeneration press corps plays a significant role in leading residents’ interest and participation in urban regeneration,” adding, “They are also a valuable medium that shares the warmth of the community by delivering local news, so we ask for the interest and active support of many people.”
Details about the recruitment of the Pyeongchang-gun Urban Regeneration Press Corps can be found on the Pyeongchang-gun website under Other Agency News or on the Pyeongchang-gun Urban Regeneration Support Center blog. Inquiries related to the press corps can be directed to the Pyeongchang-gun Urban Regeneration Support Center.
