Strengthened Beyond the Previous Evaluation Method
The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 17th that it has received an 'Excellent' rating for three consecutive years in the 2024 Data-Driven Administration Evaluation hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Data-Driven Administration Evaluation is conducted annually targeting a total of 679 institutions including central government ministries, local governments, and public institutions, aiming to improve and enhance the implementation of data-driven administrative policies. This year's evaluation was strengthened from previous methods, focusing not only on the level of implementation in data management, collection, and sharing but also on the activation of data-driven administration through data analysis and policy reflection.
In line with this evaluation direction, the Small and Medium Business Corporation established the 'Financial Data Office,' dedicated to company-wide digital innovation and data-driven administration, and identified a total of 14 data projects across key institutional businesses such as policy funds, exports, workforce, and regional innovation, reflecting them in policies. Additionally, the corporation continuously worked to enhance institutional data capabilities and foster a data-driven culture, achieving a score of 97.5, significantly surpassing the average score of 88.2 for public enterprises and quasi-governmental institutions, maintaining the excellent rating for three consecutive years.
The Small and Medium Business Corporation has been recognized for its contributions to the activation of data-driven administration, receiving the Chairman's Commendation for Digital Government Merit in 2024 and an Excellence Award in the data analysis and utilization contest hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and is also actively promoting the dissemination of best practices by participating in the Korea Government Expo.
