Research Alume forecasted on the 17th that Contec will experience rapid growth starting this year, driven by large-scale overseas orders and benefits from the government's space industry promotion policies.
Seunghwan Lee, a researcher at Research Alume, explained, "Considering Contec's strategic position within the space industry and its global network expansion strategy, it is expected to play an important role."
He continued, "In October and November of last year, Contec secured contracts worth 12.6 billion KRW for a radome construction project and 8.9 billion KRW for a satellite optical payload and image processing system project, respectively," adding, "this guarantees growth potential."
Furthermore, he emphasized, "As the importance of the satellite industry related to national security increases, Contec's technological capabilities and experience are likely to serve as competitive advantages."
The researcher analyzed, "With additional overseas orders secured in the future, the proportion of overseas sales will rise, leading to improved profitability," and noted, "Contec's technology is recognized through past experiences such as the ground station mission for the Nuriho satellite and ground station construction for the Korea Aerospace Research Institute."
He also explained, "Contec is strengthening its competitiveness in overseas markets through a total solution service model," adding, "It is in a favorable position to effectively respond to the increasing demand for domestic and international ground station construction due to the rise in small satellite launches."
