100,000 KRW monthly support for four-person households
Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 17th that it will promote the 'Agricultural Food Voucher Project.'
This project was prepared to strengthen the food safety net for vulnerable groups and expand the consumption base of agricultural products.
The support targets are households receiving livelihood benefits (below 32% of the median income standard) including pregnant women, infants, and children under 18, while recipients of guaranteed facilities under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act are excluded from the household member count.
Support will be provided monthly from March to December, with 40,000 KRW for single-person households, 65,000 KRW for two-person households, 83,000 KRW for three-person households, 100,000 KRW for four-person households, and 187,000 KRW for households with 10 or more members.
The vouchers can be used to purchase domestically produced fresh agricultural and livestock products such as vegetables, fruits, white milk, fresh eggs, meat, grains, and tofu at 37 designated stores including Nonghyup Hanaro Mart, local food direct stores, and convenience stores.
Applications for the voucher can be made from the 17th at the resident registration address's eup/myeon office, the Agricultural Food Voucher website, or the Agricultural Food Voucher Customer Support Center.
A Sancheong-gun official said, "Applications can be made at any time during the project period, but since support funds cannot be applied retroactively before the application date, we ask that applications be submitted in advance," adding, "We will continue to implement various policies to improve food accessibility for vulnerable groups and enhance the health and nutrition of households receiving livelihood benefits."
