Gyeonggi Province has selected 43 operating institutions for the ‘360-Degree Anywhere Care Disability Night and Holiday Program,’ which provides care services for people with disabilities during nighttime and holidays. The selected institutions include ▲Type A Care 5 locations ▲Type B Activity 21 locations ▲Type C Self-Help Group 17 locations.
Type A Care primarily provides care services within the institution and also supports temporary care for residents with disabilities living in 31 cities and counties. Guardians can entrust temporary care on an hourly basis if they have reasons such as hospital visits.
Type B Activity is divided into ‘weekday type’ and ‘weekend type’ and supports various activities such as performances, exhibitions, and sports activities. It also operates activities for guardians who may become exhausted from caregiving. The newly introduced ‘weekend type’ this year supports community experience activities such as visits to amusement parks and museums at least once a month.
Type C Self-Help Group provides emotional support meetings composed of people with disabilities and their families.
Earlier, from the 13th to the 24th of last month, Gyeonggi Province recruited operating institutions for the ‘Disability Care Night and Holiday Program’ targeting welfare facilities and organizations for people with disabilities in the province. These institutions will recruit participants and provide services in various ways according to their respective operating schedules starting from the 17th.
Gyeonggi Province plans to recruit an additional 15 operating institutions from the 24th of this month to the 7th of next month to support more residents in receiving benefits.

Kim Hana, Director of the Welfare Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "The ‘Disability Care Night and Holiday Program’ is the first project of its kind nationwide implemented by Gyeonggi Province, and we will strive to promptly respond to the diverse care needs of people with disabilities during nighttime and holidays and provide care." She added, "Following last year, we will continue systematic and sustained support to provide practical help to people with disabilities."
Meanwhile, the ‘360-Degree Care’ initiative, aimed at minimizing blind spots in care, consists of three components: ‘Care for Everyone,’ which supports all residents in crisis regardless of age or income; ‘Care Anytime,’ which provides emergency care at any time for families needing childcare; and ‘Care Anywhere,’ which offers customized care for people with disabilities at institutions, homes, nighttime, and weekends.
Care Anywhere is a project for people with disabilities who have care needs but have not received sufficient support so far. It includes the operation of the Disability Care Night and Holiday Program, customized care for people with severe developmental disabilities, and family care for people with severe developmental disabilities.
