Containing 106 Projects Across 8 Sectors
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) announced on the 16th that it has published the district administration white paper titled "New Changes, Happy Yongsan, Better Future," which contains the changes, growth, and major policies of Yongsan achieved together with residents over the 2 years and 6 months since the opening of the 8th local government.
This district administration white paper was created to review the administrative performance from July 2022 to the present and to serve as an important resource for suggesting future directions for district development.
The white paper details 12 strategies for preparing Yongsan’s future, the district’s administrative goals and current status, footprints of the 8th local government’s field activities, external institution awards, and major project achievements across eight sectors.
In the "12 Strategies for Preparing Yongsan’s Future," various key commissioned projects undertaken to prepare for Yongsan’s rapidly changing future are presented. The results of these projects will be actively utilized in policy formulation.
The "Major Projects" section includes 106 projects across eight fields: ▲ “Communication Administration” focused on integrity, promptness, and field-centered service ▲ “Education and Childcare” nurturing future dreams ▲ “Culture and Sports” enhancing vitality and dignity ▲ “Welfare” for a healthy 100-year life and warm sharing ▲ “Economic City” at the center of the global era ▲ “Residential Environment” that is bright, clean, and convenient ▲ “Safe City” for secure and pleasant living ▲ and “Community Service Centers.” It comprehensively covers the core policy achievements of the district administration and reviews Yongsan’s changes and growth realized through communication and cooperation with residents.
Projects that brought practical changes to residents’ lives, such as the opening of Yongmaru Children’s Library, creation of Samgakji public parking lot, expansion of the underpass road of Wonhyogado Bridge, securing access roads near Onnuri Church, and expansion of city bus route 0411, which were long-awaited by residents, are included. The improvement process of life-oriented policies such as cleaning, parking, pedestrian environment, and residential welfare is also detailed.
The white paper is approximately 285 pages long and is available for anyone to view on the Yongsan-gu website under Yongsan Introduction > District Promotion > District Administration White Paper.
