Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Han Sangwon) announced on the 15th that the Gwangju FTA Trade Promotion Center will hold a training session titled "Changes in Tariff Policies during Trump’s Second Term" for executives and employees of local export companies on the 6th of next month.


This training will be conducted for three hours by customs broker Jung Jaehwan from Mukkumsa Customs Office, focusing on ▲the protectionist policies of the Trump administration and resulting changes in tariff policies ▲the interaction between exchange rate volatility and tariff policies. The course is free of charge.


By attending this course, local export managers are expected to strengthen their ability to respond to the uncertainties and risks of tariff policies caused by the recent protectionist stance of the United States, as well as to better understand the interaction between exchange rate volatility and tariff policies and enhance their systematic risk management capabilities.


Kang Jobyung, head of the Gwangju FTA Trade Promotion Center, stated, "Due to recent changes in U.S. tariff policies, companies exporting to the United States are experiencing significant confusion," and added, "We hope this training will help local export companies respond effectively to the new tariff policies."


He also said, "We will continue to provide relevant training and information to help local companies cope well with the challenging environment in anticipation of possible changes in U.S. tariff policies."
