Jeonnam Province Urges Livestock Farmers to Apply for Feed Purchase Funds

Demand Survey for the First Half of the Year Open Until the 21st

Jeonnam Province Urges Livestock Farmers to Apply for Feed Purchase Funds Jeollanam-do is conducting a demand survey for livestock feed purchase funds for the first half of the year until the 21st. Provided by Jeonnam Province

Jeollanam-do will conduct a demand survey for livestock feed purchase funds for the first half of the year until the 21st, aiming to promote direct transactions of feed among livestock farmers and to ease their management burden.

The livestock feed purchase funds are provided annually as loans (1.8% interest rate, two-year grace period, lump-sum repayment) for new feed purchases and repayment of existing credit balances. Eligible recipients are livestock farmers and corporations with livestock business permits or registrations.

Farmers who have not registered their livestock business can apply after completing the registration, by submitting the required documents to the livestock department of their local city, county, or township office.

However, public officials, employees of government-invested or government-funded institutions such as government agencies or public enterprises, and farmers who do not purchase feed directly due to livestock integration are excluded.

Support is provided to farmers raising cattle, pigs, chickens, ducks, deer, horses, goats, rabbits, quails, pheasants, ostriches, honeybees, geese, turkeys, and wild geese. The support limit is 600 million KRW for cattle, pigs, chickens, and ducks, and 90 million KRW for other livestock, with the amount varying according to the number of animals raised.

Jeollanam-do has been providing feed purchase funds every year to stabilize the management of livestock farms, with 137.1 billion KRW supported in 2023 and 148 billion KRW in 2024.
