In an interview with News1TV released on the 12th, Jeon said, "If the 20s and 30s generations think they will be in despair, they will willingly throw themselves into it (in the event of impeachment acceptance)." He added, "During the Japanese colonial period, we endured torture while fighting for independence. We are not being tortured now to save the Republic of Korea. We can willingly do it."
He quoted former President Moon Jae-in, who said during the impeachment of former President Park Geun-hye, "If the Constitutional Court dismisses the president's impeachment, the next step is revolution," and claimed, "I am confident that a national revolution will occur if President Yoon's impeachment is accepted. I think a second April 19 Revolution will happen."
Regarding his recent political activities, he said, "How frustrated must I be to step forward despite being criticized?" and added, "I am a very gentle person. However, when I see injustice and things that go against common sense, I cannot help but be angry."
Jeon announced that he will stop his political activities after attending the anti-impeachment rally to be held in Seoul on the upcoming March 1st Movement Day. However, he said that if the impeachment is accepted, he will not just stand by and watch the behavior of the Democratic Party of Korea.
He continued, "I ask the 20s and 30s generations, regardless of region, to come to the rally unconditionally if they want a Republic of Korea where fairness, common sense, and the rule of law are respected," emphasizing, "Jeon Han-gil is a servant. I am a servant, and you are the owners and protagonists."
Regarding his controversial remark that "the people will sweep the Constitutional Court," he said, "Is that violence?" and added, "I want to say you should study Korean more. 'Sweep' does not mean breaking the Constitutional Court by force, but rather creating an atmosphere (against impeachment) to prevent such a trial (impeachment acceptance) from ever happening."
Jeon said, "Those who call this expression violent are incomprehensible. Their Korean language skills seem to be below elementary school level," and added, "I dislike violence."
