Gokseong County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Jo Sangrae) is joining hands with the local community to promote the 'Seon-Seon (Good-Advance) Payment Campaign' aimed at boosting small business consumption and revitalizing the local economy.
According to the county on the 12th, staff from the Urban Economy Division visited Gichamaeul Traditional Market on the 11th together with the Gokseong branch of the Small Business Association (Branch President Ko Guju) and the Gichamaeul Traditional Market Merchants Association (President Won Youngsoo). The purpose was to put into practice the positive influence of the 'Seon-Seon Payment Campaign' by encouraging joint participation from the county and the local community.
The county is implementing the 'Seon-Seon Payment Campaign', which involves prepaying 10% of business operation expenses, to support local small business owners who are struggling due to high prices and weakened consumer sentiment.
The county, the Small Business Association, and the Traditional Market Merchants Association visited a cafe located at the entrance of Gichamaeul Traditional Market and participated in the campaign, saying, "We hope this small gesture will provide great encouragement and hope."
A county official stated, "As small business owners and traditional markets are two important pillars of the local economy, the local community's interest in this campaign will be a great support for them," adding, "Through this campaign, the county, small business owners, and traditional markets will work together to revitalize the local economy."
