NongHyup Jeonnam Headquarters (Director Lee Gwangil) announced on the 12th that, together with the Jeonnam Farm Stay Village Council (Chairperson Kim Gamsun), they have selected 10 families with children from Gwangju and Jeonnam urban areas and are officially launching rural tourism supporter activities.

The 'Rural Tourism Supporters' program was established to provide urban children with opportunities to experience the value of agriculture and to promote the appeal of rural areas.

The first group of Jeonnam NongHyup Rural Tourism Supporters is scheduled to be active until June. Participating families will stay in 24 farm stay villages in Jeonnam and join programs focused on rural experiences that children do not usually encounter, such as rice planting, cooking with rice, and strawberry harvesting. In addition, the families will share their experiences and photos on blogs and social media to promote rural experiences to other urban children and families interested in rural tourism.

Lee Gwangil, Director of the Headquarters, said, "I hope that the Rural Tourism Supporters will serve as a stepping stone for understanding agriculture and rural communities and for feeling the charm of the countryside."

Meanwhile, the NongHyup Farm Stay project is a rural tourism product that allows visitors to stay in the countryside and participate in farming, daily life, cultural experiences, and village festivals.
