Seosan City in South Chungcheong Province is taking the lead in preventing jeonse fraud for young people and others who lack specialized knowledge related to real estate.

On the 12th, Seosan City announced that it will continue its 'Safe Housing Contract Assistance Service,' first introduced last year, targeting youth, vulnerable groups, and multicultural families.

This service provides tailored support to eligible individuals through certified real estate agents, aiming to prevent jeonse fraud and contribute to stable housing settlement.

The services offered include ▲consultation on jeonse and monthly rent contracts ▲accompaniment for house viewings ▲guidance on housing policies.

Through consultations, individuals can receive guidance on important considerations during contracts and receive support in reviewing documents such as certified copies of the real estate register and building ledgers.

For house viewings, a certified real estate agent accompanies the client to inspect the residential environment of the property and provides advice related to the contract.

Applications can be submitted through the Seosan City website or the Real Estate Team of the Land Management Division, and after pre-registration, consultations can be conducted by phone or by visiting the Land Management Division.

On the 11th, a meeting was held at the mayor's office in City Hall, attended by Mayor Lee Wanseop of Seosan, certified real estate agents providing consultation for the Safe Housing Contract Assistance Service, and others, to discuss the operation of the service.

Mayor Lee Wanseop expressed his gratitude, saying, "I thank the consultants who volunteer to help citizens struggling due to a lack of specialized knowledge," and requested, "Please do your best to ensure the smooth operation of the service so that it can provide practical help."

Meanwhile, the city expanded the target group from only youth to include vulnerable groups and multicultural families, providing 63 services last year and receiving a positive response.
