Dongseo University operates the ‘Industry Field based Co-op program’ (Project leader: Professor Yoon Chang-won, Department of Computer Engineering), through which 26 students from six departments including the Department of Tourism Management and Convention participated in long-term second semester, mid-term winter semester, and standard field training at 20 companies such as Ludens. The program demonstrated its excellence in design and operation by achieving early employment results for three outstanding students.
Kim Gyu-young, a student from the Department of Tourism Management and Convention who received early full-time employment at 2M (formerly Ludens), a leading MICE company in the Busan area, and won the grand prize in the essay contest, participated in numerous domestic and international MICE projects such as the ‘2024 Asia Contents & Film Market’ and ‘2024 Meet Busan In Thailand.’ He said, “Through the Waterloo-type Co-op program, I was able to personally experience and develop a passion for my major by striving and learning to produce results on my own. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this program.”
In the program performance report, Professor Yoon Chang-won stated, “We plan to expand the participating departments in 2025 and focus more on nurturing regionally settled talents by achieving early employment results with outstanding students who have the will and passion.”
