Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, signed a business agreement on the 12th at the county office's main conference room to promote online market development for Yeongyang-gun's excellent agricultural and specialty products through cooperation with the Korea Post Business Promotion Agency.
This agreement proposed a plan to expand sales by establishing a stable distribution system for the excellent agricultural and specialty products produced in Yeongyang-gun, thereby expanding distribution channels and stabilizing farmers' income. Through this, it also took a step closer to building a stable agricultural foundation for Yeongyang-gun's farmers.
The Korea Post Business Promotion Agency, an affiliate of the Korea Post Service Headquarters operating Post Office Shopping, is the largest public shopping mall in Korea. It continuously promotes win-win cooperation activities with suppliers of agricultural, marine, and livestock products, being recognized as a model case of ESG management among public institutions. Additionally, it has built a strong trust relationship through agreements with many local governments, giving the impression of a credible company.
County Governor Oh Do-chang said, “I hope that this agreement will serve as an opportunity to more efficiently promote Yeongyang-gun's excellent agricultural and specialty products and reach more consumers by securing various sales channels.” He added, “We will continue to make multifaceted and sustained efforts to revitalize the local economy.”
