Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon recently emphasized regarding Haneul, a young girl who was killed by a teacher at an elementary school in Daejeon, that "there must be no second Haneul" and stressed that "responsible people need to come together."
On the 12th, Governor Kim posted on his social media (SNS), expressing sorrow, saying, "It is difficult to find words for the innocent sacrifice of an eight-year-old child," and "The pain of the family is beyond comprehension."

He continued, "I can only pray that Haneul, who became a star, now happily runs and plays in a place without pain," and stated, "As Haneul's father earnestly appealed, there must be no 'second Haneul.'"
Furthermore, he added, "All responsible people must unite to ensure that such a tragedy never happens again."
Meanwhile, on the evening of the 10th around 6 p.m., first grader Haneul and a female teacher, Ms. A, were found stabbed in the audiovisual room on the second floor of an elementary school building in Gwanjeo-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon. Haneul was transported to a nearby hospital but passed away, and Ms. A admitted to committing the crime. Ms. A, a full-time teacher, was on leave due to issues such as depression and had returned to work at the end of last year.
