Yeongju-si Promotes Support Project for Jeonse Deposit Return Guarantee Fee

Up to 300,000 KRW Guarantee Fee Support
for Tenants Without Housing

Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Park Nam-seo) will promote a deposit return guarantee fee support project starting from the 12th to encourage subscription to the Jeonse Deposit Return Guarantee, prevent Jeonse fraud damage, and reduce the economic burden on tenants.

This project is a housing stability policy that supports part of the guarantee fee for those who subscribe to the Jeonse Deposit Return Guarantee. It provides support of up to 300,000 KRW for the guarantee fee paid by the guarantee insurance subscribers.

The support target is tenants without housing who have subscribed to a valid Jeonse Deposit Return Guarantee (HUG, HF, SGI) as of the application date. Additionally, the housing lease deposit must be 300 million KRW or less, and income requirements must be met. The income criteria are ▲Youth (aged 19 to 39) with an annual income of 50 million KRW or less ▲General tenants with an annual income of 60 million KRW or less ▲Newlyweds with an annual income of 75 million KRW or less.

Applications will be accepted from February 12 until the budget is exhausted. Tenants wishing to apply must prepare the Jeonse Deposit Return Guarantee certificate, proof of guarantee fee payment, a copy of the lease contract, and a full certificate of real estate registration. Applications can be submitted online through Gyeongbuk Youth e-Kkeullim or in person at the Yeongju City Hall Job and Economy Division.

Geum Won-seop, head of the Job and Economy Division, said, “We expect this support project to practically help reduce the economic burden on tenants and prevent Jeonse fraud damage,” adding, “We will prepare various support measures to help stabilize housing and promote regional settlement.”
