Kim's family initially expressed that they did not want an autopsy. However, they agreed to the autopsy procedure after accepting the opinion that an autopsy was necessary to accurately determine the cause of death.

A search and seizure warrant was also issued for Mr. A, a teacher in his 40s suspected of murdering Kim the previous day, and a full-scale police investigation is expected to proceed. Since it is difficult to investigate Mr. A, who is currently undergoing surgery and treatment, the police plan to secure evidence that can confirm the motive for the crime through search and seizure of Mr. A’s vehicle, residence, and mobile phone.

On the afternoon of the 10th, Mr. A lured Kim, who was leaving the after-school care classroom to take a private academy shuttle, in the audiovisual room of an elementary school in Seo-gu, Daejeon, and stabbed her to death with a weapon. Mr. A attempted self-harm immediately after the crime and underwent surgery at a hospital. He is currently hospitalized in the intensive care unit, and the medical staff has informed the police that it is necessary to monitor his condition for 48 hours after surgery.

However, the police stated that they plan to execute the arrest warrant and secure custody as soon as possible while monitoring Mr. A’s condition, and to investigate the specific circumstances of the incident.

There are also demands to expedite the procedure for disclosing Mr. A’s personal information. It is known that the police are also reviewing the disclosure of personal information.
