William Grant & Sons Korea Donates 57 Million KRW
Supporting Ten National Intangible Heritage Craft Masters
The National Heritage Promotion Agency announced on the 12th that, with the help of William Grant & Sons Korea, it will support the transmission activities of ten holders of national intangible heritage craft categories.
William Grant & Sons Korea is a liquor company that sells and distributes distilled liquor. Every year, it promotes a social contribution campaign highlighting craftsmanship and authenticity. In particular, last October, it donated approximately 57 million KRW from the sales proceeds of eight craft works to the National Heritage Promotion Agency.
The donation will be given to ten holders of national intangible heritage in the craft categories. They include Gungjang holders Kwon Young-hak and Kim Seong-rak, Nakwhajang holder Kim Young-jo, Woodcarving master Jeon Gi-man, Sakyang master Kim Kyung-ho, Instrument maker Yoon Jong-guk, Onggi maker Jeong Yoon-seok, Yundojang master Kim Hee-soo, and Hanji makers Kim Sam-sik and Shin Hyun-se. An official stated, "They are all artisans actively engaged in transmission activities to carry on the tradition of traditional crafts."
