Goobne Chicken Opens 4th Store in LA... Continuing the K-Chicken Craze This Year

New Store Opens in Artesia Following Koreatown and Others
Sales Up 160% Year-on-Year in the First Half of Last Year
"Seeking Partners for Entry into New Countries"

Goobne Chicken announced on the 12th that it has opened a new store in the Altesia area of Los Angeles (LA), USA, and will continue to lead the spread of the K-chicken craze this year.

Goobne Chicken's 4th LA store is the fourth location in LA following Torrance, Fullerton, and Koreatown. Altesia is characterized by excellent accessibility to surrounding areas and forms a unique commercial district where various cultures and industries are mixed, based on its geographical advantages and cultural diversity.

The main oven chicken menu items at the 4th LA store include ‘Soy Garlic’, ‘Gochu Basasak’, and ‘Original’. ‘Soy Garlic’ is chicken coated with a sweet and salty soy-based fruit soy sauce containing fresh garlic and fruit, harmonizing the crispy and moist oven-roasted chicken with a subtle garlic flavor. ‘Gochu Basasak’, which has gained tremendous popularity domestically since its launch, combines a crispy outside and tender inside texture with a spicy taste, capturing the palates of overseas customers as well. The ‘Original’, juicy and tender inside, is a popular menu item with a unique mild flavor that appeals to all tastes.

Goobne Chicken is receiving positive responses overseas through differentiated competitiveness and localization strategies. Goobne’s oven-roasted chicken menu is cooked by baking instead of frying in oil, making it well-received not only by health-conscious consumers but also in cultures that avoid fried foods. Additionally, localized menu items such as ‘Soy Garlic’ are introduced to meet market characteristics and consumer needs.

Marketing strategies aimed at approaching overseas consumers more familiarly are also driving positive results. In the U.S., influencer marketing using social media platforms like TikTok has imprinted a young and trendy brand image on American consumers, leading to continuous customer visits. Based on these strategies, sales at U.S. stores increased by approximately 160% in the first half of last year compared to the same period the previous year.

A representative from G&Food, the operator of Goobne Chicken, said, "Goobne Chicken is leading the domestic oven-roasted chicken market while growing as a global brand and achieving visible results. We plan to focus on expanding stores in the U.S. and discovering partners for entry into new countries to strengthen our position as a global dining company."

Meanwhile, Goobne Chicken currently operates 30 stores in 10 countries, including the United States.
