Assessing the Current State of Operations

The Special Committee on Administrative Investigation of Private Consignment Affairs of Mokpo City, Jeonnam, conducted an on-site inspection of private consignment projects on the 11th.

According to the city council, the on-site inspection was attended by members of the Special Committee on Administrative Investigation of Private Consignment Affairs of Mokpo City (hereinafter referred to as the Administrative Investigation Special Committee), including Chairman Lee Hyungwan.

The committee members visited the yacht marina site to assess the current state of operations and facilities, checked whether the previous contractor had restored the facilities to their original condition, and listened to the difficulties faced by the consortium of three corporations operating the site.

They also requested that the responsible department establish detailed standards for checking the contractor's obligations and facility maintenance, and present a sustainable vision for Mokpo as a port city through efficient operations.

Chairman Lee Hyungwan stated, "Although 7 billion KRW was invested in the Samhakdo Yacht Marina, poor facility management and sluggish project progress have caused significant damage to nearby merchants and fishermen. We will continue to thoroughly review the administrative procedures and issues related to Mokpo City's private consignment affairs and do our best to develop reasonable improvement measures so that the council can become even more trusted by the citizens."

Meanwhile, the Special Committee on Administrative Investigation of Private Consignment Affairs of Mokpo City consists of Chairman Lee Hyungwan, Vice Chairman Choi Wonseok, and members Park Hyosang, Yoo Changhun, Jung Jaehun, Ko Kyunguk, Lee Dongsu, and Choi Jiseon. The committee is actively leading legislative activities by closely examining and investigating compliance with procedures stipulated in the ordinance on the promotion and management of private consignment of Mokpo City affairs.
