On the 11th, Seosan City in Chungnam Province announced that KCC Daejuk Plant had donated 100 million KRW to help neighbors in need within the city.
The donation ceremony, held at the mayor's office in city hall that day, was attended by Lee Wan-seop, Mayor of Seosan, Jang Gyeonggi, Plant Manager of KCC Daejuk Plant, and Yoo Byeong-seol, Secretary-General of the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea, among others.
The donation will be used for crisis family support projects and scholarship programs for economically disadvantaged students, as well as other initiatives carried out by local social welfare facilities and organizations.
Mayor Lee Wan-seop said, "Thank you for continuing your generous donations despite the difficult economy," and added, "We will make sure the donation is delivered carefully to where it is needed most."
Meanwhile, KCC Daejuk Plant has been donating to the Love for Neighbors fund through Seosan City since 2018, with the total accumulated donations reaching 900 million KRW as of this year.
