New Self-Sufficiency Project Model 'Oneul-ui Chance' Seongju Branch Opens... Providing Stable Jobs for Low-Income Groups 'Oneul-ui Chance' Seongju Branch, presenting a new model of self-sufficiency projects, has opened.

‘Oneul-ui Chance’ is a side dish franchise brand born through a one-year development process following a business agreement between the Gyeongbuk Regional Self-Sufficiency Center and CJ Freshway.

Through this project, the company supplies menus using its products, and the local self-sufficiency centers receive support for ingredients and marketing without franchise fees, providing stable jobs to low-income groups. Participants in self-sufficiency can establish a foundation for economic independence, making it highly meaningful.

This win-win cooperation model is gaining attention as a successful case of self-sufficiency projects, having opened branches sequentially starting with the Gumi branch in October last year, followed by the Pohang and Seongju branches.

The 4th branch is scheduled to open in Goryeong in the upcoming March, and through continuous expansion, it plans to provide more participants in self-sufficiency with opportunities for independence and growth.

Yoo Jeong-geun, Director of the Welfare and Health Bureau of Gyeongbuk Province, stated, “Self-sufficiency projects like ‘Oneul-ui Chance’ play an important role in strengthening participants’ will for independence and providing stable jobs and startup opportunities,” adding, “We will continue to discover and expand effective self-sufficiency projects to actively support successful independence.”

Meanwhile, Gyeongbuk Province operates 19 local self-sufficiency centers in 18 cities and counties, providing jobs to about 3,000 low-income residents through over 200 business groups.

Additionally, the Gyeongbuk Regional Self-Sufficiency Center is actively promoting the scaling and specialization of self-sufficiency projects through education for local self-sufficiency center workers and participants and the development of various new projects. As part of this effort, it developed a cafe brand tentatively named Clauden Coffee and operates 12 stores across 5 local self-sufficiency centers.
