HD Hyundai Oilbank, Palantir Collaborate to Build 'AI Safety Management Learning Platform'

Customized Learning System... LLM-Based
"We Will Expand AI for Efficient Process Operations"

HD Hyundai Oilbank has completed the development of a process safety management (PSM) learning platform utilizing AI technology. The established platform, 'PSM Skill-Up Chatbot,' provides employees with customized questions and real-time exemplary answers to guide appropriate management instructions.

On the 11th, HD Hyundai Oilbank announced that it collaborated with global big data company Palantir to build the chatbot in order to enhance employees' knowledge level of process safety management and create a safe process operation environment. The chatbot was developed by the BAO (Business Analytics & Optimization) team, HD Hyundai Oilbank's dedicated big data organization, by integrating process safety management regulations and internal data based on Palantir's AI large language model (LLM).

The chatbot provides customized questions regarding safe operation guidelines, equipment inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and emergency response plans according to the user's position, department, and responsibilities. It also evaluates the answers entered by users in real time and presents exemplary answers. HD Hyundai Oilbank expects that using the self-developed chatbot will increase employees' interest and participation in process safety management training, which can often be tedious.

An HD Hyundai Oilbank official stated, "The establishment of this learning platform is significant in that it has created a safe factory operation environment through AI technology," adding, "We will continue to expand the use of AI technology for safe and efficient process operations."

Meanwhile, HD Hyundai, to which HD Hyundai Oilbank belongs, continues its collaboration with Palantir in the digital field. In January, at the '2025 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting (Davos Forum)' held in Davos, Switzerland, they unveiled a blueprint for a future-oriented shipyard through Palantir's promotional video.
