DH Autoware announced on the 11th that the national project for performance evaluation of transportation monitoring equipment in the smart port logistics system is progressing smoothly. This project is a national initiative under the Materials and Components Industry Technology Innovation (Mass Production Performance Evaluation Support) program. DH Autoware was selected as the lead organization in April last year and is carrying out the project jointly with Wonkwang University.
The Materials and Components Industry Technology Innovation (Mass Production Performance Evaluation) project is a government policy aimed at strengthening the technological competitiveness of the materials and components industry and promoting the self-reliance of domestic industries. It focuses on encouraging domestic development of critical materials and components and supporting performance evaluation and verification during mass production processes to enhance commercialization potential.
The smart port logistics system advancement project led by DH Autoware not only evaluates the performance of transportation monitoring equipment in port logistics systems but also aims to enhance it. Various monitoring devices are installed on logistics transport vehicles and cranes necessary for smart ports to collect and transmit logistics transport information and information about handling equipment in real time.
Through this project, DH Autoware is reflecting the technical requirements of end users to meet the high reliability demanded by smart ports. It significantly expands the communication range compared to existing systems, actively improves issues discovered during on-site installation of port logistics systems, and seeks optimization in actual operating environments.
DH Autoware expects this project to contribute to the digital transformation and efficiency improvement of the domestic port logistics industry. Smart port technology is a key area where demand is expected to steadily increase in the global market in the future. Using this national project as a turning point, DH Autoware plans to expand related technologies not only in smart ports but also across various industrial sectors.
A DH Autoware representative stated, "This national project signifies that DH Autoware’s control monitoring technology has expanded from vehicle autonomous driving technology to the smart port sector," adding, "Through continuous research and development and technological advancement, we will leap forward as a core component company leading future industries such as autonomous driving and smart ports.”
