Boryeong City in South Chungcheong Province, which has been classified as a depopulation area after its population fell below 100,000, will provide a baby birth celebration package to families with newborns in the city.
According to the city on the 11th, the 'baby birth celebration package' consists of a stamp containing the baby's information and childcare products.
This package has improved practicality and quality based on a survey of families with newborns in the city last year, and contains childcare items that are genuinely helpful for newborn households.
Applicants who reside in the city can apply for the package after registering the birth at their local administrative welfare center.
A city official stated, "We actively reflected citizens' opinions to increase the satisfaction of families with newborns," and added, "We will continue to foster a pro-birth atmosphere and create a child-rearing friendly environment."
