Listening to Investment Status and Discussing Cooperation Measures
Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Koo Chung-gon, hereinafter referred to as Gwangyang FEZ Authority) announced on the 11th that a meeting was held on the 10th in the commissioner's office with POSCO Group's secondary battery-related companies (POSCO Pilbara Lithium Solution Co., Ltd., POSCO Lithium Solution Co., Ltd., POSCO HY Clean Metal Co., Ltd.).
At the meeting, Koo Chung-gon, Commissioner of Gwangyang FEZ Authority, shared global trends in the secondary battery industry and discussed the establishment of a secondary battery value chain centered on the Gwangyang Bay Area and the revitalization of the local economy through the recruitment of local talent.

The POSCO Group secondary battery companies emphasized the importance of continued investment and technological innovation in the secondary battery material industry for Gwangyang Bay Area to become a core hub of Korea's secondary battery industry, and requested active interest and support from the Gwangyang FEZ Authority.
Commissioner Koo Chung-gon stated, "Based on POSCO Group's investment, we will spare no effort in providing various support and cooperation to develop the Gwangyang Bay Area into a global center of the secondary battery industry," and added, "As pressure on the semiconductor and battery industries is expected to increase due to the recent re-election of Donald Trump in the United States, the Gwangyang FEZ Authority will also pay close attention and actively strive to create a business-friendly environment."
