Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, announced on the 11th that it has signed a 'business agreement to promote a culture of sharing' with the international relief and development organization Hope Friends Korea Food for the Hungry.

Through this agreement, Baemin will support stores participating in Korea Food for the Hungry's regular donation campaign, 'Hope Friends Store.' Baemin will assist in promoting and marketing donation-practicing stores by adding them to the app's 'Together Store' page for increased exposure.

Together Store is a platform established by Baemin to help local small and medium-sized businesses with valuable community contributions expand their online sales channels. Among existing Baemin partner stores, those that positively impact society?such as traditional markets, stores using reusable containers, local donation-practicing stores, and century-old stores?are separately categorized and given additional exposure on the app, with Baemin supporting their promotion and sales.

Local donation-practicing stores are those that regularly donate a portion of their sales to NGOs, thereby practicing sharing within the community. Baemin has collaborated with various NGOs such as Community Chest of Korea, Green Umbrella, and Warm Companion to support these stores through additional app exposure, discount coupons, gift certificates, and various events. As of February this year, there are approximately 9,000 'Local Donation-Practicing Stores' nationwide.

To actively discover and support stores practicing sharing, Baemin plans to expand its cooperating NGOs by signing an agreement with the social welfare corporation World Vision later this month and is also exploring projects in collaboration with social enterprises.

Kim Joong-hyun, Head of Value Management at Woowa Brothers, said, "The 'Together Store,' Baedal Minjok's platform for coexistence with small and medium-sized businesses, has recorded cumulative sales of 200 billion KRW within seven months of service launch." He added, "We will help activate stores by widely promoting those that have consistently practiced sharing through donations."
