Democratic Party National Innovation Council Appoints Shin Youngkyun as Wando Representative

“I Will Stand at the Forefront of Regime Change”

The Democratic Innovation National Council announced on the 10th that it has appointed Shin Younggyun, former Director of Wando County, as the Wando Representative of the Organization Headquarters.

The Democratic Innovation National Council is a pro-Myung faction organization that officially launched in June 2023, advocating for the early end of the rebellion and a change of government. The second Innovation Council, launched in June last year, is a nationwide political organization preparing for the fourth democratic government, with its main goals being the end of the rebellion, national stability, and victory in the presidential election.

Currently, the Innovation Council is in the process of forming 17 metropolitan and provincial organizations, as well as basic organizations at the city, county, and district levels, aiming to secure 5,000 standing committee members and 50,000 innovation committee members.

The Innovation Council produced 31 elected members in the 22nd general election, and with 14 additional National Assembly members joining afterward, it has now become the largest faction within the Democratic Party with 45 National Assembly members. In particular, it is expanding its influence in the political arena by advocating for member-centered innovative nominations.

Representative Shin was approved as the Wando Representative at the 8th Innovation Reinforcement Special Committee on the 25th of last month and is currently accelerating the organization of the Wando Innovation Council. Notably, since the early days of the Innovation Council, he has accumulated extensive political experience bridging the central and regional levels through his activities in the Daedongsaesang Research Society.

Representative Shin stated, "Due to the impeachment of the Yoon Sukyeol administration, the timeline for the next presidential election is expected to accelerate," and expressed his determination by saying, "I will swiftly complete the organization of the Wando Innovation Council and stand at the forefront of regime change."

Meanwhile, the Democratic Innovation National Council will hold the 'Jeonnam Innovation Council Inauguration Ceremony' at the Boseong Dahyang Gymnasium on the 22nd, and on the 1st of next month, it plans to hold a '10,000-member National Convention' at Seoul KINTEX.
