Jeon stated, "With the recent expansion of international routes and an increase in passengers, there were high expectations for regional economic revitalization through Muan International Airport. However, with all flights suspended due to this accident, serious damage to the local economy and tourism sector is expected." He particularly pointed out that local travel agencies, which had been selling overseas travel packages for the vacation season, are facing difficulties due to reservation cancellations and customer losses.

Jeon also said, "Local residents were greatly shocked by the unexpected news of acquaintances involved in the accident, and there is growing anxiety about the safe operation of the airport," emphasizing, "For the substantial revitalization of Muan International Airport, it is important not only to improve physical facilities such as the localizer (directional facility) and runway extension, but also to address the community's safety concerns and ensure psychological stability."

He further commented on Jeonnam Province's ongoing plan to provide 3 million KRW in promotional marketing support per travel agency (totaling 2 billion KRW), saying, "Currently, the lack of travelers is not due to insufficient promotion, so operational cost support is more urgently needed than marketing expenses," and called for more effective support measures.

In response, Planning and Coordination Office Director Jang Heonbeom replied, "We will strive not only to complete physical facilities but also to alleviate the community's concerns and ensure psychological stability."
