"Bulgom" Lee Seung-taek Climbs to 348th in World Rankings with Astara Championship Top 10 Finish

"Bulgom" Lee Seung-taek has risen to 348th in the world rankings.
In the men's golf weekly world rankings announced on the 9th (local time), he earned 0.38 points, jumping 31 places from 379th last week. He secured points by finishing tied for 6th at the PGA Tour Korn Ferry (2nd tier) Astara Championship held in Bogota, Colombia. This was his first top 10 finish in four Korn Ferry Tour events.
After this tournament, Lee Seung-taek moved up to 30th in the Korn Ferry Tour points standings. The top 20 players in the Korn Ferry Tour points receive PGA Tour cards. He said, "I think I saw potential by recording my first top 10 in the Korn Ferry Tour," adding, "I feel like I am adapting well to the Korn Ferry Tour stage." He will move to Thailand for about three weeks of training camp.
Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele (both USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Collin Morikawa (USA), and Hideki Matsuyama (Japan) maintained their positions from 1st to 5th, with no changes in the top 10. Justin Thomas (USA), who finished tied for 6th at the PGA Tour WM Phoenix Open held that day, rose from 15th to 11th. Thomas Detry (Belgium), the Phoenix Open winner, climbed from 58th to 22nd in the world rankings.
Korean players are positioned as follows: Im Sung-jae at 21st, Kim Joo-hyung at 23rd, An Byeong-hun at 29th, Kim Si-woo at 66th, Jang Yoo-bin at 146th, and Lee Kyung-hoon at 153rd. Kim Min-kyu, who tied for 8th at the DP World Tour Qatar Masters the previous day, jumped from 257th to 235th.
