The Seosan Fire Station in Chungnam announced that it will conduct special emergency duty from the 11th to the 13th in preparation for Jeongwol Daeboreum, in order to prevent fires and ensure a swift response.
This special emergency duty is being implemented to reduce the risk of fires during the Jeongwol Daeboreum period and to enable a rapid response in the event of large-scale fires such as wildfires.
The fire station plans to mobilize 860 personnel, including firefighters, and 48 fire vehicles to ensure thorough on-site response, prevent large-scale fires, and minimize casualties.
To this end, they will conduct fire safety inspections in fire-prone areas, eliminate potential hazards in advance, strengthen on-site response readiness, and enhance public safety services.
Choi Jangil, the fire chief, said, "We will do our best to establish a solid on-site response posture so that citizens can safely celebrate Jeongwol Daeboreum," and added, "Since even minor carelessness can easily lead to large fires, we ask citizens to be especially cautious."
