On the 10th, Cheongyang County in Chungnam announced that four companies had signed investment agreements totaling 17.2 billion KRW for the Jeongsan 2 Agro-Industrial Complex.
On this day, the county signed investment agreements for the Jeongsan 2 Agro-Industrial Complex with Boryeong Milk Co., Ltd., Yellow Farm Co., Ltd., Elegant Meal Co., Ltd., and Hamjibak Co., Ltd. at the main conference room of the Chungnam Provincial Government Office.
Boryeong Milk Co., Ltd. plans to invest 7 billion KRW to build a 16,500 square meter factory and newly hire 80 employees.
Yellow Farm Co., Ltd., a livestock product processing company based in Gongju, will invest 3 billion KRW to establish a new 5,000 square meter factory and provide 180 new jobs.
Elegant Meal Co., Ltd., a meat processing and storage company, will invest 3.8 billion KRW to relocate its 9,000 square meter business site from Nonsan to the Cheongyang Jeongsan 2 Agro-Industrial Complex and hire 31 employees.
Hamjibak Co., Ltd., a Cheongyang-based producer of rice snacks and functional foods, will invest 3.4 billion KRW to establish a new 5,000 square meter factory in the Jeongsan 2 Agro-Industrial Complex and newly hire 41 employees.
The Cheongyang Jeongsan 2 Agro-Industrial Complex completed its land acquisition after the revised development implementation plan was officially approved in December 2023, and civil engineering works for site preparation are currently underway.
A county official stated, "With this investment agreement, 332 jobs will be created, which is expected to boost the local economy," and added, "This brings the total accumulated investment attracted this year to 28.2 billion KRW."
