Targeting 7.88 Billion KRW in the First Half
"Aiming to Revitalize the Local Economy"
Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmoon) announced on the 10th that it will actively promote "expedited fiscal execution" in the first half of this year to revitalize the stagnant local economy and efficiently implement pending projects.
The corporation plans to execute 7.88 billion KRW out of the total 9.49 billion KRW designated for expedited fiscal execution this year in the first half. This amount greatly exceeds the target of 5.5 billion KRW (58% of the designated amount) set by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. Last year, the corporation also achieved 126% of the ministry's target, invigorating the local economy.
Expedited fiscal execution is a policy of using the budget ahead of the originally planned fiscal schedule, which has the effect of quickly supplying funds to the market and stimulating the economy.
To this end, the corporation plans to actively implement government guidelines such as speeding up various project procedures for expedited execution and promoting advance payments. In addition, it will introduce various activation measures, including monitoring progress, supporting related difficulties, rewarding outstanding departments, and reflecting results in internal evaluations.
President Cho Ikmoon emphasized, "We will do our utmost for expedited fiscal execution to revitalize the local economy and achieve mutual growth," and added, "We will continue to actively strive for the stability of citizens' lives and the coexistence of the community."
