The police are pursuing a man who visited a jewelry store in Changwon, Gyeongnam, pretending to be a customer and stole precious metals worth tens of millions of won before fleeing.
According to the Changwon Jungbu Police Station on the 10th, at around 5:50 PM the previous day, a man wearing a mask, hat, and gloves visited a jewelry store in Jungang-dong, Seongsan-gu, Changwon City.
The man told the employee that he came to buy precious metals and asked to see the items. He then stole two gold necklaces and one gold bracelet, totaling about 30 million won worth of precious metals, and fled on a motorcycle he had arrived on.
The motorcycle the man rode was also identified as stolen.
The police are tracking the man, estimated to be in his 30s to 40s, based on CCTV analysis, and plan to charge him with theft and other offenses once he is apprehended.
