Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced on the 9th that it is promoting five projects under the Disabled Employment Project, including general employment, welfare employment, developmental disability care assistant, specialized employment, and severe disability internship program, to support social participation opportunities and independent living for people with disabilities.
The district directly selects participants for general employment and assigns them to institutions. Welfare employment, specialized employment, and the severe disability internship program select executing institutions through recruitment announcements for project-performing organizations.
The number of people allocated for this year's projects is ▲Full-time: 68 people working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week ▲Part-time: 31 people working 4 hours a day, 5 days a week ▲Welfare employment: 128 people working 56 hours per month ▲Developmental disability care assistant and specialized employment: 13 people ▲Severe disability internship program: 4 people.
The district has increased the total quota for the Disabled Employment Project by 12 people compared to last year and expanded the budget by 145 million KRW to 3.61 billion KRW, thereby enhancing support for the Disabled Employment Project.
There are a total of 65 placement institutions in Eunpyeong-gu, and with the expansion of placement institutions, an infant care job type has been added. Participants perform tasks such as administrative assistance, welfare service support, environmental cleanup, library assistant, and guidance in disabled parking zones.
