Come See the Bright Full Moon at Andong Wolyeonggyo and Uiseong Dalbit Park... Gyeongbuk Tourism Organization Introduces February Travel Destinations

Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation (President Kim Nam-il) has selected Andong Wolyeonggyo Bridge and Uiseong Dalbit Park as the recommended destinations for February in the Gyeongbuk travel series introduced monthly through photographs. In celebration of the first full moon of the lunar new year in February, they introduce spots related to the moon and ideal for viewing the full moon.

Wolyeonggyo Bridge, a representative night view spot in Andong, is the longest wooden bridge in Korea, stretching 378 meters. The softly lit night lighting installed on Wolyeonggyo creates a picturesque scene. Looking up at the bright full moon shining in the night sky from Wolyeonggyo, one feels as if the bright moon will grant their wishes for the year.

At Wolyeonggyo, the moon is not only in the sky. The moon boat floating gently on the calm water surface is another moon that can be seen from Wolyeonggyo. The scenery created by the moon boat gliding over the water is another magnificent sight to behold at Wolyeonggyo. Near Wolyeonggyo, there are various tourist attractions including Nakgang Waterway Park, a waterside performance hall, Andong City Museum, as well as cafes and restaurants with beautiful views.

Uiseong Dalbit Park is one of the top night sky tourist spots in Gyeongbuk. Although it is a bit far from the center of Uiseong, it is an even better place to view the night sky. Spending time watching the Milky Way and constellations offers a new experience for modern people who usually find it difficult to see stars.

Especially recently, the safety and convenience for tourists have greatly improved through renovation work at Dalbit Park. Not only was the park refurbished with new sculptures, but an observatory was also installed to provide a better environment for viewing the moon and stars in the night sky.

The newly renovated open-air camping area is another reason to visit Dalbit Park. Spending a day in nature and watching the night sky filled with stars will become an unforgettable memory. Taking photos with the bright moon, the Milky Way, and stars shining in the black night sky as a backdrop will allow you to capture life shots that commemorate your memories for a long time.
