Yangsan-si, 'Women Farmers Voucher Support Project' Application Open

Applications Accepted from February 10 to March 14

Yangsan City in Gyeongnam Province is accepting applications for the "Women Farmers Voucher Support Project" from February 10 to March 14 to promote the culture and welfare of women farmers in rural areas with poor cultural conditions.

Eligible applicants are women farmers aged 20 to under 75 (born between January 1, 1950, and December 31, 2005) who reside in rural areas of Yangsan and are registered agricultural business operators engaged in farming.

However, those who did not use their voucher card at all after issuance last year, those enrolled in workplace health insurance, and those with comprehensive income exceeding 37 million KRW outside of agriculture are excluded from eligibility.

Women farmers wishing to apply can do so online through the Gyeongsangnam-do website "Gyeongnam Baro Service" or in person at the administrative welfare center of their resident registration address with a valid ID.

This year, a total budget of 140 million KRW will be provided to support 700 people. The voucher card can be used in all industries within Gyeongnam Province except for certain restricted sectors such as entertainment bars and internet shopping malls.

A Yangsan City official stated, "We expect that providing opportunities for health promotion and cultural activities to women farmers who experience fatigue while balancing farm work and household chores will significantly improve their quality of life."
