Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok Attends 2025 Nowon Senior Club Senior Job Project Launch Ceremony

On the 7th, Nowon-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) held the '2025 Nowon Senior Club Senior Job Project Launch Ceremony' at the Nowon-gu Citizens' Hall Auditorium.


The Nowon Senior Club helps seniors lead healthy and happy lives in their later years by developing and providing 'Nowon-appropriate jobs' to fulfill seniors' desires for income generation and social participation, as well as offering economic support.


This year, the Nowon Senior Club plans to operate 22 job projects, providing jobs to 1,103 seniors. New job opportunities such as ▲Digital Bridge and ▲Library Work Support will also be introduced.


The event was attended by about 660 people, including Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok, city and district council members, and officials. The ceremony began with the opening and national anthem, followed by ▲introduction of guests ▲participant pledge performance (three participants took an oath) ▲congratulatory speeches ▲presentation of 'Our Pledge for 2025' ▲and commemorative photo session.


In the second part, essential safety education for seniors was conducted. Seniors learned safety accident prevention rules and customized safety guidelines for each project.


Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, "Participation in jobs is a driving force for seniors' vibrant lives," adding, "As we enter a super-aged society, we will do our best to expand customized jobs for healthy and happy later years."
