The Marine Environment Experience Center is a facility operated by the National Youth Marine Environment Experience Center, providing youth with opportunities to experience marine culture through four programs: marine safety, marine exploration, polar research, and ship navigation.
The Renewable Energy Exhibition Hall, located within the Yeongdeok Wind Power Complex, exhibits the principles of renewable energy generation using solar, wind, water, and geothermal energy. It is equipped with a solar-heated Iris foot bath, an outdoor playground, and an East Coast coastal observatory, allowing visitors to experience the usability of renewable energy and the surrounding scenery.
The Culture and Environment Committee members discussed plans to revitalize exhibition and experience facilities within Gumi City, stating that "it is necessary to expand interesting and diverse programs that citizens and tourists can enjoy."
Chairman Kim Jae-woo said, "Through this visit, I once again realized the need to create a culture of exhibition and viewing combined with hands-on experiences," adding, "We will actively incorporate various cases into Gumi City's administration and continue efforts to revitalize tourism culture."
