About 10 citizens attended the On-site Mayor's Office held in the multipurpose room on the 3rd floor that day, discussing issues such as unauthorized garbage dumping cleanup and extending pedestrian crossing signals for the elderly and vulnerable.
There were also complaints that had been raised by citizens to the city but were difficult to resolve due to the need for cooperation from related agencies such as the police station or unclear responsibility of the relevant departments.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "Through the issues raised at the On-site Mayor's Office, we can identify citizens' concerns and problems that need improvement," adding, "Since it provides insights and directions for policies, I consider communication on-site important and will continue to communicate with citizens consistently in the future."
Uijeongbu City plans to review the complaints raised at the On-site Mayor's Office, categorize them into short-term and mid-to-long-term tasks, notify the complainants of the results, and disclose the consultation details on the city’s website so that citizens can check the information.
